Director’s Notes

Happy New Year!

In 2022, we confronted several challenges, celebrated victories, and effected positive change though programs, services, and events. Each of you played a vital role in our achievements, and the staff of Peace Valley Nature Center are grateful for this support and dedication shown by our members and volunteers last year and beyond.

As a new year begins, I can’t help but feel excited about the potential that lies ahead. Grant funds will help revitalize the gardens around the building, install a nature play area, and upgrade the trail map, trail signs, and create interpretive signage. A much-needed makeover on the solar building – both interior and exterior - will continue. Long and short-term planning will also commence in the first quarter of 2023. We are just getting started!

We appreciate your continued support and hope you consider other ways to help us achieve our goals. We'll need volunteers to help maintain gardens, trails, and assist with natural areas management. Our Board needs nominations to fill 3 Director seats that will open this spring. I encourage you to check out the many opportunities that are available. Additional information can be found below or contact us with any questions you may have.

All the best,

Kelly Joslin

Trail & Garden Revitalization Fundraising Campaign Update

Last month we launched a campaign to raise funds that will be used to update our trail map, trails signs, and install pollinator and bird-friendly gardens. Thanks to everyone who helped us raise $2,910 of our $20,000 goal!

Will you help us to improve our gardens and trails and share this fundraiser with your friends and family?
