August at Peace Valley Nature Center
August is a wonderful time to explore Peace Valley Nature Center as summer begins its transition toward fall. The preserve is buzzing with butterflies and dragonflies, late-season wildflowers are in bloom, young wildlife is becoming more independent, and the first signs of autumn migration are beginning to appear.
There's still plenty to discover this month! Join us for one of our upcoming educational programs, spend time on the trails, or become a Community Scientist by contributing to our growing iNaturalist projects. Whether you're documenting butterflies, moths, and caterpillars or helping map invasive plants throughout the preserve, your observations provide valuable information that supports habitat restoration, conservation, and environmental education.
Looking ahead, we're also excited to celebrate the 10th Annual Fall Harvest Sampler on Friday, September 25. Tickets are now available, and we hope you'll join us for an unforgettable evening in support of conservation and environmental education.

Celebrate 10 Years of the Fall Harvest Sampler!
The countdown is on for one of Peace Valley Nature Center's signature fundraising events! Join us on Friday, September 25, 2026, as we celebrate the 10th Annual Fall Harvest Sampler.
This milestone event brings together the best of Bucks County with tastings from local restaurants, breweries, wineries, distilleries, and specialty food vendors, along with live music, raffles, and a beautiful evening at the Nature Center.

Help Us Discover and Protect Peace Valley
Using the free iNaturalist app, you can help collect valuable data that guides habitat management, restoration, and environmental education.
This summer, join one (or both!) of our Community Science projects:
- Butterflies, Moths & Caterpillars – Did you know more than 150 species of butterflies and moths have historically been documented at Peace Valley Nature Center? Help us continue that legacy by photographing butterflies, moths, caterpillars, and their host plants to better understand the preserve's incredible biodiversity.
- Invasive Species Most Wanted – Help us locate invasive vines, shrubs, grasses, and flowering plants throughout the preserve. Your observations help staff identify priority areas for removal and native habitat restoration.
