Tales

March 2023

Welcome to the Dove Tales, a monthly e-blast to our most ardent supporters of PVNC. Here you’ll find links to upcoming programs, volunteer and membership news, and updates on projects. We hope this provides the resources you need to stay informed and engaged!

Director's Note

The late round of winter-like weather we're experiencing certainly makes it feel like spring will never arrive. In spite of what it feels like outside, the subtle signs of spring are all around us. Skunk cabbage is in bloom, tree buds have started to plump, and early spring migrants like red-winged blackbirds have arrived en masse. There's no denying that spring is on the way!

Winter was a busy time for us at the Nature Center. Interior walls were painted, program supplies were reorganized, and long-term planning commenced. We're eager to "spring forward" with current and new initiatives in the coming months. This includes work on a master trail plan, the installation of the Nature Play Zone, new summer camp curriculum, the rain garden, and new "Member Only" opportunities.

We encourage you to consider the different ways to get involved at PVNC. Be sure to check out some of these options below that include opportunities to volunteer, register for a program, and event sponsorship. Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to seeing you soon!

See you on the trails,

Kelly Joslin
